When it comes to your pet’s health, we know that it can sometimes be difficult to tell if there is a problem. Many health conditions in animals have no obvious symptoms in the early stages, especially if you are not sure what to watch out for.

The best way for you to ensure that your pet is healthy is by bringing them to us regularly for a check-up. Our highly skilled team can spot symptoms and offer prompt solutions. For some animals once a year is sufficient, but for others it can be beneficial to see a vet more often. We make sure that this experience is as stress free for you and your companion as possible, which is why we have separate dog and cat waiting rooms at our Preston Farm surgery.

At these check-ups, we will examine your pet thoroughly. They are a great opportunity for you to ask us any questions about your pet’s well being and behaviour, and also a good opportunity for us to get to know your pet for the future!

Each individual pet will need to come back and see us at different times depending on their age, breed and previous medical history. We will discuss this with you during the check-up, and the vet will advise you when you need to return. If we do have any cause for concern, we will explain the issue fully and ensure you are aware of the next steps in diagnosis and treatment. We will always give you the best advice possible so you can make the best choice for your pet.
